Amarguinha is a classic Portuguese liqueur, more traditional in the south of the country! Present in a Portuguese house for sure!
Amarguinha is a traditional drink from the South of Portugal, obtained from an old recipe of bitter almond liqueur. Amarguinha continues to be produced through original and traditional processes. The care placed in the production of Amarguinha begins with the rigorous selection of its components and finishes in a period of maturation carried out in oak and Amazonian hulls, which give it a stabilization and richness of incomparable aromas.
Of pale yellow color, Amarguinha presents a characteristic aroma of bitter almonds, as well as of citrus fruits, reminiscent of freshly squeezed lemon. In the mouth, it shows great volume and greasiness and at the same time a good freshness that remains in a very persistent end, where the almondy suggestions are balanced with the sweet notes.
Amarguinha can be enjoyed as an appetizer, digestive or cocktail. Its versatility translates into the possibility of being consumed without any kind of accompaniment (since fresh), with ice (in stone or chopped), accompanied with lime / lemon juice or still being part of cocktails.
