In the heart of Champagne, in the village of Chouilly, one of the six prestigious villages of the Côte des Blancs classified as Grand Cru, at the foot of the Château de Saran, is the place known as “Les Aventures”, a special plot that produces chardonnay of exceptional quality. due to the particularly calcareous nature of the soil.
Every step of the Les Aventures creation process respects the authentic character of this unique plot. Chardonnay grapes are hand-picked. The pressing is done on one of our traditional 45 year old Coquard wood presses. Vinification is carried out in small 225 liter oak barrels.
Each Les Aventures release is made not only by selecting the best vintages, but selecting the best vintages to complement each other, creating a wine defined by its unique character.
Each bottle is aged in the 18th century AR Lenoble chalk cellars under natural cork. The ambient humidity makes the cork porous, allowing particular exchanges between the air and the wine to create a very original wine.
Cuvée Les Aventures is considered to be the first single-vineyard wine produced in the Grand Cru village of Chouilly. Less than 2,000 bottles of Les Aventures are released each year, making it one of the rarest wines in the Champagne region.
