Dame-Jane, goddess of fertility, the terracotta figurine from the end of prehistory, symbolizes our connection with the land and the origin of wine. Producing an excellent champagne rosé in terracotta is something very unusual.
A balanced champagne, with soft wood notes, great complexity. Elegant and with a crunchy feel, marked by a fresh attack of good acidity. Vibrant fruit in balance with the freshness you can almost touch. The color is a beautiful, bright rosé. The aroma shows red fruit, essentially resembling cherries. The velvety tannins show some structure promoted by the battonage of the lees.
There are more than 50 amphorae that are used for the vinification and stage of this Dame-Jane. The famous turries (medium capacity container made exclusively of sandstone) are used here to protect the Domaine’s treasure. Entirely vinified in amphorae and aged for at least three years sur lies.
