Niepoort’s first Blanc de Noirs is launched…. the Água Viva Baga da Bairrada!
Keeping with the tradition of Quinta de Baixo, of making classic-style sparkling wines without dosage, they created Água Viva Baga. This is the interpretation that characterizes a terroir unloved by the Portuguese, but which in the eyes of Dirk Niepoort will become the hottest region of the country.
This Bairradino sparkling wine was made according to the traditional method. The second fermentation took place in a bottle with free yeast, and aged on fine lees for 60 months.
