Produced in years when a Fonseca Vintage is not declared, Vintage Guimaraens Ports are traditionally made from a blend of the best wines from the two estates that the firm owns in the Pinhão Valley: Quinta do Cruzeiro and Quinta de Santo António . In recent years, wines from Fonseca’s main estate, Quinta do Panascal, have also contributed to the batch.
Nuts are an excellent accompaniment to Vintage Port, as well as blue cheese and other cheeses with an intense flavor. Dried fruits, such as apricots and figs, also harmonize very well. Alternatively, it can be drunk without anything and enjoy its intense and complex flavors, in a glass that is not too small, and surrounded by good company.
