Louis Roederer Vintage 1999 Late Release

The Champagne House Louis Roederer wants to transport wine lovers on an unprecedented journey. It is a discovery of Champagne wines, which after the disgorgement process have aged for many years in the Cave Louis Roederer. These mature Champagnes, witness the passage of time, limited edition, reveal another facet of their personality by recounting the History of the Champagne House and, through it, that of the Champagne region and its terroirs.

Golden-yellow hue with deep amber undertones.
Delicate bubbles. The perfectly developed bouquet reveals the complexity of Pinots Noirs de Verzy, with its aromas of red fruits, apricot, spices (saffron, Imortelle) leather, cocoa and Nougat. After airing, the red fruits stand out (we could almost think we were drinking a good red wine) before giving way to traces of oriental spices.
In the mouth it is wide, well structured and assertive. It reveals an oily and velvety texture, with concentrated aromas of a red fruit almost liquor. The limestone freshness, always present, gives structure and length to the palate. Subtle oak notes and a pleasant acidity complement the spectacular finish.
