Welcome to Geographic Wines, where the collaboration of Nuno Morais Vaz and Daniela Matias creates unique and authentic wines, allowing you to travel around Portugal without leaving your seat. Each bottle is a true oenological journey, showing in an authentic and loyal way every corner and place that we enthusiastically explore.
We present La Volée Blanc de Blancs, a multi-plot sparkling wine that is born in vineyards with clay-limestone soil in the Sangalhos area. These vineyards, over 20 years old, in the north of the region, grow the typical white grape varieties, Cercial, Bical and Arinto.
The wine is carefully vinified in stainless steel and ages, part of the batch, for 5 to 6 months in old 500L French oak barrels (over 10 years old), which give it a unique structure. After the winter cold, the sparkling wine comes to life in an underground cellar, sur lies, for 12 months after the completion of the second fermentation. Degorgement is done by hand, giving rise to the name of the wine "à la Volée".
