ART. TERRA Amphora red 2020
ART. TERRA Amphora, a wine from Casa Relvas. A marriage between the Moreto, Trincadeira, Aragonez varieties, an Alentejo amphora red!
Casa Relvas was born from the desire to continue the history of a family linked to the land over five generations, on two continents. This family project was started in 1997 in São Miguel de Machede, in Redondo, by Alexandre Relvas, who saw in Herdade de São Miguel the vast horizons of his roots in Africa.
The Herdade de São Miguel winery was built in 2003 with the capacity to transform 500 tons of grapes, and just in time for the first harvest at Casa Relvas. Special terroir, where the Alentejo sun blends perfectly with the soils and produces grapes with a lot of character, originating robust and vigorous wines, without losing freshness.
This amphora wine was fermented in wood with indigenous yeasts. Skin maceration of about 60 days. Malolactic fermentation in contact with skins, finishing with a 3 month stage.
How about accompanying it with Mediterranean food in general, medium-cured cheeses and sausages.
