Alentejo
In 2015, Luís Louro and Inês Capão decided to challenge each other: after more than ten years of working together, sharing ideas and experiences and, above all, sharing a very clear vision of what they believe to be the Alentejo, this each time each should create a wine completely autonomously.
LouCa was born out of this challenge, two wines from two people whose starting point was the belief in the potential of the authentic Alentejo.
It is proof that it is possible to have different approaches to such a diverse region that is the Alentejo.
This wine signed by the winemaker Inês Capão resulted in a limited production of 2500 bottles. This white wine from Alentejo results from the mixture of different types of fermentation: 40% of the wine is made with skin maceration, 30% with direct pressing and clarification, and the remaining 30%, a tanning made with Verdelho masses (more mature) with must. from Arinto, greener and more acidic. It ends with an aging period of 9 months in used 600L French oak barrels.
