ARGILLA Talha tº 2016 - Alentejo
Region: Alentejo (Montargil).
Grapes: Alicante Bouschet, Alfrocheiro, Touriga Nacional, Petit Verdot.
This wine is born in the Serra de Montargil, Alto Alentejo region, in the Herdade da Anta de Cima, owned by the Tenreiro family, in a temperate climate, with average annual precipitation of 650mm, and under clay soil, Mediterranean. At Anta de Cima the last vineyards were cut in the 50's of last century and, as a witness, the old wine cellar still resists time. In 2010, the vineyard reappeared and in 2012 the first argilla, white and red wines were produced.
Total destemming before crushing, fermentation in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperature between 25º to 28º, without addition of yeasts.

Nose elegant and complex, mineral and spicy, where we find notes of clay, black pepper, cinnamon, dark chocolate and tobacco. In the mouth it is structured with good texture and volume. The chocolate notes persist in the final along with suggestions of licorice and cherry.
