BEYRA Pinot Noir red 2018

Region: Beira Interior.
During a visit to the Beyra winery of Rui Roboredo Madeira, after several good and proven wines, this Pinot Noir captured my attention, especially for the delicacy and elegance in the test, as well as a good structure and
complexity.
As Rui still had not decided what to do with this lot, we ended up reaching agreement and thus was born the first BEYRA PINOT NOIR, which I hope will be for many the good surprise that was for me.
LUIS CÂNDIDO
Grapes from vineyards planted in shaley argillaceous soils on the Beira Interior plateau in the catchment area of the Douro River, at an average altitude of 750 meters.
Ageing 12 months in French oak barrels followed by 12 months of bottle aging.
Very open in color as it competes in this caste, aromatic environment with a focus on the dried vegetables, the slight notes of moss and some red fruit of the raspberry type. Elegant and fine in the mouth but with tannins present.
