CASA DA PASSARELLA Vindima red 2009
A project by Gouveia - Serra da Estrela with oenology by Paulo Nunes.
A concept for wines that happen. For unique conditions in unique years. by constant restlessness, a challenge to all norms. They could be called "collection wines", but they are mostly wines to be found. And above all, discovered.
From vineyard to wine, this 2009 Vintage is the heir to fascinating stories – traditions that were shared, from parents to children, both by great names in Portuguese oenology in the past, and by humble and wise people for whom these lands have no secrets. .
The winemaker Paulo Nunes chose to make the traditional vinification in a granite press, following centuries-old techniques very common in the region, and two years later, in spring 2011, it followed 18 months in French oak barrels and later began a long process of maturation in bottle. .
Nine years of waiting that gave rise to this CASA DA PASSARELA, a ruby red wine, intense and of great aromatic complexity, where red fruit with spices and a balsamic touch predominates.
