The Marufo variety, very present in the old vineyards, has already entered our best lots since 2012.
With grapes from the Upper Douro, namely from a vineyard around 30 years old, we find an almost extreme planted vineyard with the Marufo (Mourisco) grape variety.
After manual harvesting, grapes stepped on foot in a small wine press. The fermentation started spontaneously and lasted approximately 20 days. The grapes were kept in mill for about 2 months.
Aging 8 months used barrels 400L.
This wine has a red fruit aroma with slight smoky notes.
With some tannin, this wine will evolve very well in bottle.
