Made with grapes from Quinta da Carolina, demarcated Douro region, Cima Corgo sub-region, located on the left bank of the Douro River, 4 km south of Pinhão, with exposure to the north and the letter “A” with more than 40 years.
The old vineyard at Quinta da carolina has several typical Douro varieties mixed, the main ones being TOURIGA FRANCA, TOURIGA NACIONAL AND TINTA RORIZ.
Dark ruby color. Fresh notes of black fruits on the nose without over-ripening, all well matched and balanced with new wood, good volume in the mouth with a refreshing acidity to balance the concentration of the wine, the tannins are present but ripe. Long and elegant finish with notes of vanilla and fruit.
