TEPPO PEIXE white 2015
Region: Vinho Verde (Casa de Vilar - Sousa).
Grapes: Avesso, Trajadura and Azal.
Teppo, in Japanese, is the name of a weapon brought to Japan by the Portuguese in the 16th century and which revolutionized the form of war in the country. Teppo Peixe was created with harmony in Japanese cuisine, where delicate and fine flavors are evident. Vinified in stainless steel, with light carbon dioxide and some residual sugar, this wine was vinified “in the old fashion”, the typical white green wine, but with a lot of purity and elegance, it is a perfect wine to accompany Japanese gastronomy or dishes with little flavors. intense.
Light and bright in color, Teppo Peixe has an aroma with citrus notes and white flowers. Slightly saline in the mouth, it is very delicate, involving and with a high acidity that allows a refreshing and crystalline finish. The slight carbonic content, when accompanied by Asian-influenced dishes, elevates the wine and works almost as a final finish to clean the palate. Light, discreet and elegant, it is a very easy wine to drink. It should be drunk very cool in Riesling glasses.
Winemaker: Dirk Niepoort.
